From easy to medium, starting at the sports field, in the heart of the village running along the village borders to Tiefbrunnau. Additionally, the 5 km long night pist along the Kugelberg pist, for classik and skating, is daily lit from dusk until 9 pm.

You can enter the pists in close proximity to ****Hotel Fischerwirt Nature.ForestSPA. Free of charge ski-busses or our hotel taxi are also at your disposal. The pists can only be used with a valid ticket. Our cross-country skiing enthusiast and boss, Rudi Ebne, can always be consulted for tour suggestions and further informtion. His personal favourite: the sunny Tiefbrunnau pist. Up-to-date weather information and pist conditions can be found in our cross-country skiing corner.

Cross-country skiing pists in Faistenau
You can enter the pists in close proximity to the Fischerwirt. Free of charge ski-busses are also at your disposal. The pists can only be used with a valid ticket. As guests of Hotel Fischerwirt, you will be able to use them free of charge.

Kugelberg pist 5 km
For classic and skating with start and finish in the village center. A good option for beginners and labelled red.
Vilalge pist 5 km
For classic and skating with start and finish in the village center or at the sports equipment shop. With regular up- and downhill sections this route is a little more demanding and labelled orange.
Tiefbrunnau pist 20 km
For classic and skating with start and finish in the village center. Along the way you pass beautiful landscapes and also suitable for beginners – with endurance. Thanks to its length it is also a good option for performance-oriented cross-country skiers and labelled green.
Night pist 5 km
For classic and skating with start and finish in the village center. With several up- and downhill sections this route is a good option for sporty beginners. It is labelled red and daily lit until 9 pm.
Hintersee pist 10 km
For classic cross-country skiing with start and finish at Hintersee village center. A good route also for beginners and mostly flat. Additionally 2 km are available for skating and accessible from the same starting point at the center of Hintersee.

The cross-country skiing schools Nordic Fun & Mösenbichler in Faistenau have courses for beginners and intermediates. You would like to book a lesson, course or rent equipment? We will inform you about your possibilites. The sports shop Auer has a good rental selection and is available Mondays - Sundays.
